Use the citation style required by your professor.
The Library's Citation guides provide many examples to help you write complete and accurate citations, both in text and in your reference list.
Citation generator tools can save you time, but it is important to check for errors. If the tool does not have access to all of the necessary details, the citation it produces will be incomplete.
In Microsoft Word, you can add citations using the References tab.
Citation management tools allow you to save references as you find them in a permanent library. They connect to Microsoft Word so that you can pull in citations and generate a reference list as you write your paper.
